This pillow was born from the ground beneath me - literally. “Lal Mati,” meaning red earth in Hindi, brings me back to the dusty roads of South India, where I lived as a child. I remember walking barefoot on that warm, sunbaked soil. It wasn’t just ground - it was memory, silence, and strength. I created this floor pillow years later in my van, as part of the Aaram collection - for the moments when I need grounding, ritual, and stillness.

The bold tribal pattern echoes ancient paths and sacred symbols, while the deep clay and berry tones feel like fire and soil and something older than words.
